REPUBLICAN FORUM ON THE THEME “INDEPENDENCE: THE EXPERIENCE OF VETERANS, THE ENERGY OF YOUTH, AND THE BRIGHT FUTURE OF THE HOMELAND”

On 12 August this year, a republican forum entitled “Independence: The Experience of Veterans, the Energy of Youth, and the Bright Future of the Homeland” was held at the State Institution “Odina Hoshim Children’s School of Arts”, on the initiative of the Central Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan and dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The forum began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by and featured speeches from Maliksho Ne'matzoda, First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan; Rukiya Qurbanova, Chairwoman of the Council of Veterans of the PDPT; as well as veterans, statespersons, and young people.

In their speeches, the participants emphasized that the people of Tajikistan are currently approaching the great national celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. State independence is a major historical achievement and an invaluable national asset of the Tajik people. It has enabled the country to embark on a path of sustainable development, constructive nation-building, and the strengthening of national statehood.

During the forum, particular importance was attached to the role of veterans in strengthening the foundations of national statehood, preserving the values of independence, and educating the younger generation and youth in the spirit of patriotism, national self-awareness, and devotion to the Homeland.

It was also emphasized that the rich experience of veterans and the constructive energy of young people represent two important forces of society. Their cooperation is of great importance for continuing development and community-building efforts and for the further progress of independent Tajikistan.

Special attention during the forum was given to intergenerational continuity, respect for the contributions of veterans, and strengthening young people's sense of responsibility towards their Homeland.

At the conclusion of the forum, participants were presented with a vibrant cultural programme prepared by cultural figures and young performers.

The forum concluded in a festive atmosphere and with a strong spirit of patriotism.
